The multiverse of Dragon Ball was quite expansive, with characters coming from all kinds of worlds and backgrounds. The major takeaway from this was the fact that every universe that took part in the Tournament of Power did so with their strongest figures, each of whom worked together quite well to reach some of the highest levels.
However, one notable thing was the fact that, among each universal team, there always seemed to be a single fighter who played the most crucial role of them all. These characters either had the highest number of eliminations on their team or just contributed more than anyone else, so let’s take a look at every Dragon Ball universe’s most important fighter.

Universe 4’s Greatest Fighter Was Damom
Destroyer God: Quitela
Funnily enough, Universe 4’s God of Destruction, Quitela, is portrayed as one of the strongest Destroyers of them all and is shown to be Beerus’s rival, as could be seen with them at the end of the Destroyer Exhibition Match, where only they were left standing. However, the greatest fighter from his universe was Damom, who relied more on a gimmick rather than his strength.
Due to his incredibly minute size and deceptive strength, this fighter was able to eliminate many characters from the tournament, though he did so by relying on his invisibility to most people instead of his outright strength. Still, though, him eliminating Piccolo definitely puts him as the biggest contributor to Universe 4’s modest success in the tournament.

Universe 2’s Greatest Fighter Was Ribrianne
Destroyer God: Heles
Although the Tournament of Power was filled with many under-the-radar characters who most fans forgot about, one they wished would disappear from memory was the annoying Ribrianne. Due to her love powers and incessant commentary, she was someone who the fandom largely despised, though she was very useful for Universe 2.
Throughout the tournament, she went up against some notably powerful figures, particularly those who belonged to Universe 7, such as Vegeta and Android 18. Although she did prove to be a great asset for her universe, she was ultimately defeated by the latter, but not before pushing her to use her greatest power.

Universe 10’s Greatest Fighter Was Obni
Destroyer God: Rumsshi
Although Universe 10 does have a comparatively important role in the greater franchise, on account of Zamasu’s origins there, it had one of the more middling performances of all the participating universes in the Tournament of Power. Still, though, Obni proved to be one of the trickier fighters whom the heroes found themselves facing.
Aside from his notable strength, Obni was quite an honorable fighter as well. This was best shown in his battle against Ultimate Gohan, as his incredible speed proved to be even greater than what the Saiyan could keep up with, forcing him to resort to strategy over brute might to take him down. This proved that Obni was quite a notable foe.

Universe 9’s Greatest Fighter Was Bergamo
Destroyer God: Sidra
Universe 9 was governed by Sidra, who is widely considered to be one of the weakest Gods of Destruction, particularly due to his defeat in the Destroyer Exhibition Match as well as how his Hakai couldn’t kill Goku or Frieza. However, the mortals from his universe were notably powerful, particularly the leader of the Danger Trio, Bergamo.
In his performances, Bergamo proved to be more than a match for Goku’s Super Saiyan God state and did quite well in the tournament as well against some powerful foes. Most interestingly, Bergamo had an incredible innate power that allowed him to get stronger through absorbing more damage, making the ability quite similar to Vegeta’s Ultra Ego.

Universe 3’s Greatest Fighter Was Anilaza
Destroyer God: Moscoe
Often considered to be one of the most dangerous fighters in the entire Tournament of Power, Anilaza was the terrifying amalgamation of Universe 3’s most powerful warriors. Ever since fusion was allowed in the tournament, Universe 3 completely merged their strength into the largest warrior in the entire setting, who proved to be an absolute powerhouse.
Aside from his unparalleled strength in this giant form, Anilaza was also deceptively quick, which helped him take on various fighters from opposing universes all at once, and even kept them at bay. Ultimately, this massive threat could only have been defeated through a combined effort of much of Universe 7’s team, proving just how great of a threat he truly was.

Universe 6’s Greatest Fighter Was Kefla
Destroyer God: Champa
Once fusions were finally allowed to take place in the Tournament of Power, the entire landscape of the battle changed exponentially with the appearance of Kefla. Brought forth through the merger of Kale and Caulifla, this immensely powerful fusion was one of the highlights of the tournament as a whole, and her strength allowed her to fight against Ultra Instinct Omen Goku.
Of course, the manga continuity was different, as her battle was against Ultimate Gohan instead, where the both of them fought to their very limits. In any case, though some may argue Hit deserves this position, Kefla was one of the greatest fighters in the entire event and her inclusion was instrumental in keeping Universe 6 in the tournament for that long.
2
Universe 11’s Greatest Fighter Was Jiren
Destroyer God: Belmod
Although the Tournament of Power showed various universes going all out against one another, the major obstacle in all of their paths, and the one to beat, was Universe 11, and this was almost solely because of Jiren. As the strongest figure in the entire event for a majority of its runtime, Jiren barely showed any effort for most of it, defeating many threats with only a fraction of his power.
Towards the end, it took Goku to unlock Mastered Ultra Instinct to eventually supersede Jiren’s strength, but even then, Jiren’s unparalleled energy control was far better, which is why he outlasted the form. In the end, it took the combined efforts of Goku, Frieza, and Android 17 to take down this powerhouse for good, making him arguably the greatest combatant in the tournament.

Universe 7’s Greatest Fighter Was Goku
Destroyer God: Beerus
As if it could have been anyone else. Goku not only had the greatest performance for his home universe in the Tournament of Power, but he was the person with the highest number of eliminations in the entire event, making him the unequivocal MVP of the tournament with a whopping 16 eliminations. This excludes the fact that he also played an incredible support role as well.
In the entire battle, none showed greater finesse and growth, and although Jiren’s energy control simply can’t be matched, Goku’s inherent talent for fighting and innate strength allowed him to awaken the technique of the Angels with Ultra Instinct, using which he cemented himself as not only the greatest in Universe 7, but the most important mortal fighter in the entire multiverse.
