Dragon Ball Toys Coming to Burger King

Dragon Ball Toys Coming to Burger King

Rumors and leaks of a collaboration between Burger King and Dragon Ball Super have been floating for a while now, with even more evidence coming by way of a toy line. International Burger King chains have more or less confirmed the reality of Burger King’s Dragon Ball Super crossover by featuring new ads spotlighting the collab’s new toys as part of the fast food chain’s King Jr. meal combos.

Along with the toys, the Burger King x Dragon Ball Super crossover will also feature a redesigned Dragon Ball crown, a Goku-themed cup, and Super Saiyan Sauce (whose flavor remains a total mystery). According to Burger King insiders, the Dragon Ball Super collaboration isn’t meant to go live until the first week of September, but some stores are seemingly breaking the street date.

Dragon Ball Super is Burger King’s Next Line of King Jr. Meal Toys

Despite featuring the original Dragon Ball Super series branding and not the revised logo for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus and Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, Burger King’s 2026 Dragon Ball toys are clearly a nod towards the upcoming Dragon Ball Super remake. The toy line will feature six mini figures: Base Form Goku, Base Form Vegeta, Piccolo, Beerus, Super Saiyan Blue Goku, and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.

Visually, the figures resemble the chibi avatars from Dragon Ball FighterZ, which is a cute touch. Although Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta don’t appear in Battle of Gods, they will be introduced in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus‘ remake of Resurrection F, which is also set to release this fall (albeit not in their DBZ outfits). Existence of the toys was only verified after Burger King Mongolia seemingly broke the street date for the Dragon Ball Super campaign, uploading a now deleted Instagram post advertising the crossover.

This Isn’t Dragon Ball’s First Bout With Burger King

Dragon Ball has actually teamed up with Burger King in the past, mostly in the Dragon Ball Z toys. Burger King previously featured toy lines representing the Frieza Saga, Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge, and Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13! One set of toys was all statues that came with cards from the Dragon Ball Z TCG, while the others were more traditional figurines, albeit usually with some gimmick.

Burger King’s previous Dragon Ball collaboration highlight a period in the series’ history when DBZ‘s momentum was growing like crazy in the United States. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus getting a perfectly timed tie-in with Burger King will hopefully help get even more eyes on the anime remake when it releases in just a few months. If all goes well, this won’t be the last time Dragon Ball collaborates with Burger King. After all, Dragon Ball Super 2 could drop as early as next year if the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus remakes are true, and Moro deserves his own toy and commemorative cup.
