Duelist: Idle Expedition has seven different base classes to pick from, and all of them have different pros and cons. Ideally, you can do well with any class you want as long as the build is on point.
In this guide, I will assess all seven available classes for you to pick from.
Complete Duelist: Idle Expedition class tier list
To separate all seven classes, I have used three different tiers.
- S-tier classes are pretty much the best possible choices.
- A-tier classes are close to S-tier, but you’ll need to get your build on point.
- B-tier classes are really difficult to manage, and you’ll want to min-max your build.
S-tier
- Warrior: This is the most beginner-friendly choice. It offers good damage, decent survivability, and a lot of versatility in terms of how its subclasses work. This is also an excellent choice to learn the game, so that’s another big positive. With the correct build, you can use the Warrior to reach the endgame easily.
- Mage: the Mage is one of the best options when it comes to ranged damage. While the damage potential is very high, the mage can also inflict plenty of elemental affixes on the enemy. This makes the class a good choice for different combinations and runs.
A-tier
- Priest: The Priest is really useful when it comes to healing, and there is no other class that does it better. In some ways, this makes the Priest a must-use in almost any combination, but the base damage would have been slightly higher to help clear the harder bosses.
- Thief: The Thief has immense damage potential among all melee classes, but you will have to be extremely specific with its build. Unlike the Warrior or the Orc, the Thief does not have a lot of health to begin with, so getting a proper setup with a complementary squad is necessary.
- Orc: The Orc is a pretty decent choice for most players, as it deals an immense amount of physical damage. That said, when I compare it to the Warrior, the Orc requires a bit more love in terms of the equipment you are using.
B-tier
- Archer: With the correct setup, the Archer can be one of the best ranged attackers to add to any squad. The class also works well with almost all other classes equally, but it needs a lot of care. Go for the wrong build, and you will end up with suboptimal results. This is why I have put the class in the BTO.
The only class I have not placed on the tier list is the Elf. I would like to assess it more over time and with some proper builds. The remaining classes I have ranked above will give a good idea of how to run an optimal squad.
