Tramplers are giant walking killing machines that players can ride across the desert map in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Due to the sheer size of the map, you’ll need to rely on your Trampler to get from one landmark to another. However, the game doesn’t do a good job of explaining how to drive it. This is where this guide comes in, as it’ll show you exactly how to drive a Trampler and recharge its power in Sand: Raiders of Sophie.
The 5 Best Extraction Shooters For Beginners, Ranked
Extraction shooters are relatively new to gamers, but some of the best will help newcomers get ready for what’s next.
How to Drive a Trampler in Sand: Raiders of Sophie
After players equip items with their loadout and their Trampler, they’re deployed onto the map via an airship in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Once the ship has dropped both you and your Trampler, you’ll need to climb up to your Trampler, and head to the main deck. If you try to steer or move the Trampler forward, it just won’t work.
The Chimney can either be found on the main deck or the upper deck. You can easily spot it as soon as you get on top of your Trampler.
You’ll first need to activate the Trampler’s main supply of power, which is directly under the chimney. Press and hold the interact button on the power switch and the Trampler will be activated.
While you’re parking your Trampler near a landmark to start looting, make sure to interact with the main switch to turn the Trampler’s power supply off. This won’t just save power, but also stop the smoke blowing out of the chimney. This is effectively in masking your location from other players as they can easily see the smoke from a distance.
Now you can head to the main steering wheel, and drive the trampler via the following controls.

How to Recharge Trampler’s Power in Sand: Raiders of Sophie
Players will need to keep NZ MK2 Energy Rods in their loadout to recharge the Trampler’s power in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Once you deploy in a match and switch on the main power supply, you’ll notice that the Trampler has enough power to operate for more than 10–12 minutes before running out of power.
If you run out of power, you can simply take out an Energy Rod from one of the crates on the shelf, equip it, and insert it into the slot near the Main Switch. This will top up your Trampler’s power in Sand: Raiders of Sophie. Players get 5x Energy Rods when creating a new character, but these can also be found in various landmarks while looting, or can be purchased from the in-game shop (trader).
