How to Earn Lucky Escape Skill in Forza Horizon 6

The Lucky Escape skill in Forza Horizon 6 is one you’ve likely earned before, while driving around the world without even realizing it. However, when it comes to daily challenges, you’ll need to know exactly what you need to do to complete the challenge. The ‘Get Lucky’ daily challenge is a prime example, as it tasks players with earning a Lucky Escape skill in any car from the 2010s. In this guide, I’ll give you a car recommendation, explain how to earn a Lucky Escape skill in Forza Horizon 6, and show you the best place to easily earn it.

How to Earn Lucky Escape Skills in Forza Horizon 6

To earn a Lucky Escape skill, you need to get a drift or e-drift skill while also getting a near miss skill. This requires you to essentially drift your car close to an NPC/ computer-controlled car, without actually hitting them. The near miss skill needs to be obtained while you’re performing the drift, not just before or after.

The best place to do this is on the highway that loops its way around the main island of Japan. The multiple lanes on each side of the road give you plenty of space to drift towards a car on the same side of the road as you, with space in the other lanes to then make an escape without crashing.

I’ve included a quick video of me below doing this for your convenience.

For the ‘Get Lucky’ daily challenge, I chose the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast. This is because I like a car that’s fast, but not too powerful that it becomes challenging to steer at higher speeds. A rear-wheel drive (RWD) car is also a good option, as it makes drifting that little bit easier.

When you’ve built up a bit of speed, look for a car in any lane with no other cars around it. Get really close to it and just over to one side of it, and then quickly tap A and steer in towards the car to initiate an e-drift. This will trigger the e-drift skill, and as long as you’ve got the angle and trajectory of your drift right, the nose of your car should narrowly miss the side of the car you were tailing, triggering the near miss skill. Shortly after this, you should see the Lucky Escape skill pop-up at the top of your screen.

Make sure that you don’t crash the car and complete the skill chain to bank the Lucky Escape skill and end your skill chain.

Honestly, this sounds a lot harder on paper than it actually is to do if you’re a relatively good drifter and know where to perform them.

The longer you spend in an area on Forza Horizon 6‘s map, the more populated it will get with cars. Fast travel to a section of the highway, and then quickly find a car without others nearby to easily get a Lucky Escape skill. If you leave it too long and there are too many cars on the roads, just fast travel to a different part of the highway.
