How to get Ghost Lantern in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Ghost Lantern is given to you by Oogie Boogie during The Oogie Boogie Contract quest. Right after you spin his wheel near the beginning of this mission, he locks you into a contract as his minion and unloads a bunch of tasks and information on you. In the process, he also grants you the Ghost Lantern item to use.

You can find the Ghost Lantern on the Accessories page. This is a tab you likely don’t visit all that often and not a place you’re likely to look when tasked with finding and equipping this asset.

Equip the Ghost Lantern in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To equip the Ghost Lantern, visit the Accessories page and select it from there. If you’re having trouble finding it, here’s a full breakdown of how to get it equipped on your character.

• Open your Inventory. The exact button to do so varies by platform, but is displayed next to the backpack icon in the top right corner.
• Switch over to the Wardrobe. With the Inventory open, switch over to the Wardrobe tab by selecting it near the left edge of the screen.
• Locate and select the Accessories section. In the Wardrobe, find the Accessories section. It’s situated in the second row down, right between the Tools and Hats tabs.
• Find and select the Ghost Lantern to equip it. On the Accessories page, scroll all the way down to the very bottom. Here, you’ll find the Ghost Lantern. Click on it to equip this key asset.

How to use Ghost Lantern in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can use the Ghost Lantern to catch three ghosts situated around Oogie Boogie’s lair. As long as you’re holding it in your hand, it’s active and takes effect automatically as you run at the ghosts hanging around the area.

If you remove it at any point, the ghosts disappear, and you won’t be able to progress. Luckily, you can requip it at any point by pressing the button displayed in the bottom left corner next to the “Equip Accessory” text.

With this tricky task now complete, you’re one step closer to unlocking Oogie Boogie as a permanent valley resident. And along the way, you’ll also get to find, meet, and unlock Jack Skellington’s beloved ghost dog, Zero, so there’s plenty more to get done this spooky season.
