I Left My Paralives Parafolk Alone for Five Minutes and the House is on Fire

Once you create a household and decorate it with your favorite items in Paralives, you’ll naturally move forward with your Parafolk’s daily routine. This includes simple activities like eating, sleeping, and using the toilet, alongside bigger life moments like joining the workforce, getting married, and having children.

While managing households, damaged items and accidental fires are common occurrences. Thankfully, there are several ways to handle these situations, all of which are covered in this Paralives guide.

How to Turn in Requests in Paralives

For Paralives players wanting to earn extra money and make friends, turning in townie requests is a great option. Here’s how.

Some of the most common items that break down are kitchen appliances and electronics like fridges, dishwashers, microwaves, and televisions. Players can easily spot damaged devices by checking for electric sparks coming out of them.

When an electronic item stops working in Paralives, there are two ways to deal with it: fixing it yourself or hiring a repair service. Here’s a quick look at both methods:

Do It Yourself

All Parafolk, except Babies, Toddlers, Children, and Pre-Teens, can patch up faulty gadgets on their own. To do so, simply follow these steps:

  • Click on the damaged electronic item.
  • Select the “Repair” option.

Your selected Para will then use a toolbox to repair the item through a short animation.

Keep in mind that the Repair option will stay unavailable if the Para isn’t skilled enough to fix tech items or is currently panicking. In that case, another household member will need to take care of it instead.

Hire Someone

If your Parafolk are busy or in a state of shock that prevents them from acting, you can always call for professional help. For that, just do this:

  • Open the phone by clicking on your character.
  • Select the “Hire Repair Service” option.
  • Wait for a technician to arrive at your home and sort out the problem.

It may take anywhere from five in-game minutes or more for the technician to arrive. The service costs 100 Paradimes.

Unlike the method mentioned earlier, Pre-Teens can also request professional help for household equipment repairs, but the cost will be deducted from the household income pool.

How to Extinguish House Fires in Paralives

In Paralives, household appliances and electronics can catch fire, and this can quickly escalate into larger house fires, damaging everything from carpets to wooden furniture and blocking entire rooms. At times, it can even set your Parafolk on fire. That’s why it’s important to deal with them as soon as they start. There are two main ways to handle fire in the game:

Put Out the Fire Yourself

Players can jump in solo or get another family Parafolk to help stop the fire by following these steps:

  • Tap on the affected appliance or device.
  • Pick the “Extinguish Fire” option.

This will show your Parafolk using a fire extinguisher to save the day.

Call Firefighters

You can definitely call the fire rescue team to reach your home and handle the house fire like this:

  • Go into your phone menu.
  • Choose the “Call Firefighters” option.

After the fire is over, you’ll need to replace burnt items by clicking on them. Even Teens, Pre-Teens, and Children can do this, but it will cost 156 Paradimes.
