Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms Season 2 has unveiled its first teaser visual and trailer, giving fans another look at Mona Kawai’s increasingly desperate attempts to win over the one boy at school who still refuses to fold. A release date has not yet been announced.

The second season was officially confirmed following the finale of Season 1 last year.

The anime originally premiered on January 6 and ran for 12 episodes until March 24, 2025. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handled series composition for the first season, while Yoriko Tomita joins as writer for Season 2. Music is once again composed by Akiyuki Tateyama. Studio SynergySP is returning to animate the sequel, with Yoshiaki Okumura also back as director.

The story follows Mona Kawai, the most popular girl at school, who is used to getting attention from practically everyone around her. The only exception is Medaka Kuroiwa, a transfer student who barely looks at her and constantly seems annoyed. Naturally, Mona takes that personally and makes it her mission to make him fall for her. The problem is that the harder she tries, the more she starts falling for him herself.

Medaka, meanwhile, is training to become a monk and has been ordered by his temple to avoid romance entirely. That becomes increasingly difficult as Mona escalates her efforts and more girls enter the mix, either as rivals or accidental wingwomen.

The returning voice cast includes Ryota Iwasaki as Medaka Kuroiwa, Yu Serizawa as Mona Kawai, Sora Amamiya as Asahi Shonan, Kana Hanazawa as Tsubomi Haruno, Hinaki Yano as Tomo Namba, and Kaori Maeda as Minami Shirahama.

Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Ran Kuze. The manga began serialisation in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in May 2021 and has released 24 volumes as of May 2026. Kodansha USA publishes the series in English.
