To complete the Memory Mania Mystery #1 quest, you need to meet up with Joy and help her solve a mystery inside the Remote Headquarters. Here’s a full breakdown of how to get this task done.
Complete all other Memory Mania event tasks
In order to unlock this mission from Joy, you first need to complete all other quests and duties featured in the Memory Mania event. This mystery is only available once you’re fairly deep in it, so make sure to check off all other key tasks if you want to get started on this one. The quests you must have done include:
Find Joy
Once the prerequisites are all complete, track down Joy around the valley to begin the Memory Mania Mystery #1 quest. Chat with her, and she’ll let you know she needs your help. Accept the quest to officially begin.
Talk to Joy inside Remote Headquarters
Next up, you need to meet up with Joy inside the Remote Headquarters. This building is the home she shares with Sadness, which you can place anywhere around the main valley, DLC worlds, or Floating Islands. Find her home wherever you set it up, then venture inside to chat with Joy.
Open Joy’s Mysterious Memory Orb
Upon talking to Joy, she’ll let you know that something is missing from her house, although she’s not quite sure what it is. She’ll then pass you a Mysterious Memory Orb to help figure out what it is. Open your inventory, click on the orb, and view the image.
Talk to Joy again to begin the investigation
Once you’ve opened the orb, interact with Joy inside the Remote Headquarters to officially begin the investigation. She’ll then ask you to figure out what’s missing from her home.
What’s missing from Remote Headquarters in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
A tissue box is the item that’s missing from Remote Headquarters in DDV. You can figure this out by comparing the image Joy gives you in the Mysterious Memory Orb with her home as it is when you arrive. Everything else is exactly where it should be, but the box is missing.
Search the area where the tissue box was last seen
Now that you know what’s missing, it’s time to get to work finding it. First, head over to the spot where it’s supposed to be, which is depicted in the Mysterious Memory Orb image, to see if there are any clues. Interact with the sparkles at this spot to begin searching the area.
Pick up the Mysterious Black Feather and bring it to Joy
Interacting with the spot where the tissue box is supposed to be reveals a Mysterious Black Feather. Pick up this item, then chat with Joy to give it to her and discuss what you found.
The first part of the investigation ends here, but additional missions will unlock each day after it until you’ve completed a total of four missions with Joy. Once you’ve collected all four Mysterious Black Feathers, you’ll then be able to unlock the Deep Dark Secret Goose.
