Minato Namikaze is back in action with a new character design, although his latest appearance is not part of the Naruto anime. The Fourth Hokage is joining Naruto Mobile in a new form, and an animated trailer gives fans a look at this version of the Yellow Flash.
The trailer introduces Minato Namikaze [Jianghu Legend], an A-Rank ninja arriving in Naruto Mobile on July 24, 2026. Minato has been given a new outfit for the game.

The CG animation shows Minato fighting through a bamboo forest, using his trademark speed and Flying Raijin techniques to move between enemies. While the trailer was made to promote his addition to Naruto Mobile rather than a new anime project, it is nonetheless a treat for all Naruto fans as it offers a fresh look at the character.
Minato Namikaze is one of the most important characters in Naruto despite much of his story taking place before the beginning of the series. Known as Konoha’s Yellow Flash, Minato became the Fourth Hokage and was feared during the Third Shinobi World War for his speed and mastery of the Flying Raijin technique. He is also Naruto Uzumaki’s father and played a central role in stopping the Nine-Tailed Fox’s attack on Konoha.
Naruto Mobile is a 2.5D fighting game developed by MoreFun Studio and officially licensed by Bandai Namco. It originally launched in 2016 and has continued receiving new playable versions of characters from across Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Rather than relying on automated combat commonly found in mobile RPGs, Naruto Mobile plays more like an arcade fighting game. Players control their characters directly, chaining attacks and jutsu together while competing in real-time PvP battles. Its story content covers events beginning with Naruto’s childhood and extends through the Akatsuki and Fourth Shinobi World War storylines.
The game has also built up a large roster over its decade of operation, with more than 130 playable ninja variants across different ranks. Different versions of familiar characters are regularly introduced with their own movesets and designs, which is where the new Jianghu Legend version of Minato comes in.
There is one catch for Naruto fans hoping to play it. Naruto Mobile remains officially available only in China, so Minato’s new form is not getting a wider international release for now.
