A new Halo leak claims Halo Studios currently has no original campaign or multiplayer game in active development following the reported cancellation of two major projects. Formerly known as 343 Industries, Halo Studios is gearing up to release the much-anticipated remake of the first Halo game, titled Halo: Campaign Evolved, describing its transition to Unreal Engine 5 as the beginning of a new chapter spanning multiple projects.
Halo Studios Reportedly Canceled Its Campaign and Multiplayer Projects
In a new YouTube video by notable insider Rebs Gaming, the reporter shared that Halo Studios originally planned to release three games within a three-year period, beginning with Halo: Campaign Evolved, followed by the unannounced multiplayer-only entry, internally called Project Ekur, before releasing the next original Halo campaign. According to Rebs, both unannounced projects have allegedly been canceled, leaving Halo Studios without an original campaign or multiplayer title in active production. The report further claims that the development teams previously associated with those projects are now developing concepts and attempting to determine the direction Halo should take for its next game, rather than working on a fully approved project.
