In today’s Daily Fix:
Earlier this week reports have suggested that Nintendo’s shareholders want the company to raise the price of the Switch 2. Looks like Nintendo has listened, and the console will go up in price by about $50 worldwide, although the U.S. has until September until the new prices takes effect. Despite strong sales, the global RAM shortage, tariffs, and new military conflicts have done a number on the games and tech industries, with Xbox and PlayStation having already raised their hardware prices several times. In related news, Sony has revealed they’re taking a $765 impairment loss on Bungee following the launch of Marathon. The title reportedly has a budget of around $200 million, and looks to have a long road ahead before profitability. And finally, Resident Evil Requiem shadow-dropped new DLC last night: Leon Must Die Forever, an action-oriented minigame with roguelike elements starring Leon S. Kennedy. Capcom has teased more DLC to come.
