On October 11, 2026, One Piece chapter 1195 was officially released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44. Now, all eyes are on One Piece Chapter 1196, which is set to be released on October 18, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 55 at 11 AM EST.
It has officially been confirmed that Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, is not going to go on any breaks in the following week, which means we can enjoy One Piece uninterrupted for the first time in months. As things stand, One Piece is currently deep in the Elbaf arc, and the events are getting more exciting with each passing chapter. Right now, Eiichiro Oda is focusing on Sanji’s battle against Saint Killingham, and this battle is most certainly going to result in the Straw Hat Cook awakening the power of Conqueror’s Haki. One Piece chapter 1196 is tipped to allow Sanji to bring out his Conqueror’s Haki for the very first time and deal a devastating blow against Saint Killingham as the arc edges closer to its conclusion.
One Piece Chapter 1196 Will Show Sanji’s Inner Conflict
One Piece chapter 1195 was primarily focused on Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. As we know, currently, One Piece is largely focused on the battle between the Holy Knights and the Wings of the Pirate King, Zoro and Sanji. Zoro Vs Sommers has already wrapped up, and it ended with the full mastery of the Color of the Supreme King for the Straw Hat swordsman. With this new power-up, Zoro became so strong that he made Sommers run away from the face of the mighty Haki. Now is the time for Sanji to do something similar.
“Listen closely, Roronoa! All things are in flux. However, there is one thing that can resist all change. It is another kind of Haki, but one that can’t be learned through discipline: Supreme King Haki. There is one thing that Supreme Kings share. Something unchanging. Remember this, the Color of the Supreme King is something so strong that the weak cannot remain standing in its presence. What truly fuels the Color of the Supreme King is one’s sense of self!” — Mihawk explains Supreme King Haki, One Piece Chapter #1194
One Piece chapter 1195 showed Sanji’s inner conflict with the idea of truly becoming a King, while Sanji tried his level best to bring out the Color of the Supreme King. His inner doubts and conflict kept weighing him down, and his memories from his scarred past prevented him from tapping into the color of the Supreme King. One Piece chapter 1196 is going to focus on exactly that. In this chapter, Sanji is finally going to see his flaws for what they are, accept himself, and finally put real value on himself.
Sanji’s biggest weakness is his lack of self-importance. He always believes himself to be dispensable to the crew and has sacrificed himself on multiple occasions far more than any other Straw Hat for the sake of others, and this needs to change. Only when Sanji starts valuing himself for what he is will he finally tap into the Color of the Supreme King and become the powerful monster that he was always destined to be. One Piece chapter 1196 will give us just that and finally allow Sanji to tap into the Conqueror’s Haki for the very first time.
“If this can be sacrificed with just the sacrifice of one person, then, let me make a flower bloom here before I die!” — Sanji shows his biggest weakness, One Piece Chapter #1195
Why One Piece Chapter 1196 Will Make Sanji Bring Out His Inner Conqueror’s Haki
When looking at how Eiichiro Oda, the author of the series, has structured the last few chapters, it is quite clear that the intention is for both Zoro and Sanji to fully unlock their Conqueror’s Haki before reaching the chapter 1200 mark. The focus of Elbaf shifted from Loki to Zoro in One Piece chapter 1193, and in just 3 chapters, Zoro has now fully mastered the color of the Supreme King.
Then, One Piece chapter 1195 was the first chapter dedicated to Sanji, and chapter 1196 will thus be focused on his full awakening of the Color of the Supreme King, with chapter 1197 officially wrapping up his battle against Saint Sommers and Saint Killingham for good.
Sanji: What about me? Do I have Conqueror’s Haki?
Gaban: You too have traits of one who can become a Conqueror. But for some reason, I sense dangerous self-deprecation in you. If you truly want Luffy to become the Pirate King, then you yourself must become a “King.”
— Gaban confirms Sanji’s Conqueror’s Haki, One Piece Chapter #1187
This means that the next chapter is going to be entirely focused on Sanji and is going to be one of the best experiences that any Sanji fan will have in this series. This upcoming chapter is going to be the culmination of an incredibly well-written character arc focusing on the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, which Eiichiro Oda has carefully built up over decades. There is no denying the fact that Eiichiro Oda’s best-written Straw Hat, after Luffy, is Sanji. This chapter is going to elevate his character even further by finally allowing him to bring out his Color of the Supreme King and making him the best version of himself, who finally puts value on his own life instead of always looking to sacrifice it.
Sanji Vs Killingham Is Set To Wrap Up In Elbaf
One Piece chapter 1196 is also going to throw some focus on the likes of Biblo, who revealed some interesting lore pertaining to Nefertari Lily and Elbaf in the previous chapter. At the same time, Lily’s treasure could also be showcased to us in the upcoming chapter. Once again, the vast majority of the focus is going to be on Sanji. Towards the end of the chapter, Eiichiro Oda will likely show us Sanji fully tapping into the Color of the Supreme King and coating his entire body in it. As he does that, he will then be able to fight back against Saint Killingham.
One Piece chapter 1197 will then mark the conclusion to this battle, and the focus will then either shift to more lore-specific objectives in Elbaf, which would deeply involve the likes of Chopper, Robin, Biblo, and Saul, or go back to the Underworld, where Loki and Imu are engaged in a high-level battle. In either case, the upcoming few chapters of One Piece are going to be incredibly exciting as Elbaf heads even closer to its end. By chapter 1120, One Piece is going to have reached the peak of the Elbaf arc and will be closer than ever before to its conclusion.
