One Piece Officially Introduces New God Fruit Stronger Than Luffy’s Nika

One Piece Officially Introduces New God Fruit Stronger Than Luffy’s Nika

In One Piece chapter 1044, which was officially released on March 28, 2022, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #17, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, officially unveiled the first God Fruit — the Mythical Zoan-type Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika. This Devil Fruit was eaten by the protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy, and it allows him to transform into the Warrior of Liberation, the Sun God Nika himself.

While Luffy’s Devil Fruit was the first God Fruit to be introduced in the series, quite a few more have been revealed in the Final Saga, specifically in the ongoing Elbaf arc, such as Nerona Imu’s Akuma no Mi and even Loki’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr. Now, however, One Piece’s Elbaf arc climax has set up the reveal of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza, which is potentially even stronger than the Nika fruit and holds the ability to cancel out all other Devil Fruit powers.

One Piece Chapter 1182 Officially Lined Up Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza

On May 10, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24, One Piece Chapter 1182 officially lined up the major reveal of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza. This Devil Fruit was set up by none other than Saint Killingham of the Holy Knights after being given an Omen by Nerona Imu through the usage of the Akuma no Mi powers. Immediately after being given an Omen by Nerona Imu, Saint Killingham utilized his powers to generate his biggest fear of all. In doing so, he also confirmed that there is another godly entity that exists in the world of One Piece, feared by the Celestial Dragon. Specifically, Killingham mentioned three entities that the Celestial Dragons fear:

  1. The Sun God Nika, officially introduced in One Piece Chapter #1018 and fully revealed in One Piece Chapter #1044.
  2. The people of the D., whom they attribute to being demons.
  3. Rain God Zaza.

“We were born in a place so high, it’s above all the rain clouds. Water coming down from the sky? It’s a mysterious terror! After the people of D and Nika, it was the most common boogeyman they warned us about…that in the lower world, there’s a monster called the Rain God that dumps water on top of your head!” — Saint Killingham explains the lore of Rain God Zaza, One Piece Chapter #1182

With Sun God Nika officially being introduced in One Piece Chapter 1018 and then fully being revealed in One Piece Chapter 1044, and the people of D. already being central to the overarching plotline of One Piece, it makes perfect sense for Rain God Zaza to receive a significant portion of attention from the author from here onwards. To that end, Saint Killingham ended up creating an MMA of the Rain God Zaza using the power of his Mythical Zoan Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin ability. This MMA is, but a copy of the real Rain God Zaza, but the powers that it possesses are tremendously deadly.

Devil Power Sanji One Piece

After 5 Years, One Piece Is Officially Giving Sanji The Devil’s Power

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is finally giving Sanji the full power of the Demon God Ifrit in the climax of the Elbaf arc.

The MMA version of Rain God Zaza is a colossal humanoid woman with a giant ring of water behind her back. Her entire body is made of water, and she can bring forth immense rainfall and flood entire villages in a matter of seconds. Furthermore, she controls water to a significant degree and can drown just about anyone, even strong fighters such as the Warriors of Elbaf. This was clearly seen in the Elbaf Arc in One Piece Chapter 1182, released officially on May 10, 2026, and in the subsequent Chapter 1183, which was also released on May 25, 2026. With Rain God Zaza officially entering the fray as a mighty God of the One Piece world, it is only a matter of time before this godly entity is revealed through a Hito Hito no Mi variant.

“Appearing to the rhythm of the prayers for rain…Rain God Zaza!” — Saint Killingham explains how Zaza appears in the world, One Piece Chapter #1182

Why Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza Surpasses The Nika Model

All the Mythical variants of the Hito Hito no Mi are incredibly powerful, starting with the Daibutsu Model, which was first revealed in One Piece Chapter 571 in the Marineford Arc, specifically on January 5, 2010, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #8. This Daibutsu ability made Sengoku one of the strongest characters in the entire series. This fruit model was followed up by the Onyudo in the Wano Country Arc, which remains the weakest Hito Hito no Mi model so far.

Then came the Nika Model, which is the most important in the entire series. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika grants immense powers that allow Luffy to make free use of his near limitless imagination and bring about anything he imagines into reality, making it one of the most broken devil fruit powers to exist in the world of One Piece. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza, which would allow the user to transform into the Rain God itself, and it could grant even greater power due to the ability to control rainwater and cause massive floods.

“Go Zaza, sink them all! Only seven brats? I’m guessing that’ll have to do for now.” — Killingham explains the dangers of Zaza, One Piece Chapter #1183

This essentially means that Rain God Zaza can easily cancel out Devil Fruit abilities in the blink of an eye, and even Sun God Nika, with its immense powers, would essentially lose the battle if caught within this torrential flooding. Rain God Zaza Devil Fruit has the potential to be the strongest in the world of One Piece, rivaled only by Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi, which it is very similar to in terms of Devil Fruit cancellation.

Zaza’s Official Introduction Is Coming After Elbaf

So far, we have only seen the MMA variant of the Rain God Zaza, but it is only a matter of time before Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, unveils the Zaza variant as well. With Zaza being one of the biggest fears of the Celestial Dragons, stemming from their 100-year battle against the Ancient Kingdom long ago, it is set to make an appearance sooner or later.

“A vast war will ensue and drag the entire world into it! And which side the Giants pledge their allegiance to will have a profound effect on the outcome of the war!” — Gunko teases the Great War after Elbaf, One Piece Chapter #1146

One Piece chapter 1146, which was officially released on April 21, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #21, officially teased Elbaf as the prelude to The Great War, which means that the Great War itself is now on the cusp of starting. Furthermore, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, stated in his Jump Festa 2026 message that, following the events of Elbaf, the Straw Hat Pirates would sail towards an island that only the Pirate King had set foot on. This essentially means that all the big players, such as the Yonko, including Luffy, will be aiming for the final island. This great confrontation will likely make the perfect circumstances for the descent of the Rain God Zaza, lining it up against the World Government and Nerona Imu as one of the biggest adversaries of all time.
