Paralives brings your favorite indie games to your Paras in unprecedented collab

After seven long years in development, Paralives has finally arrived, and the life sim is starting things off strong with some gloriously goofy indie game collab content. It’s day one, and we’ve already got some seriously cool crossover content to delve into.

This collaboration event is a love letter to indie games, and it’s brought the worlds of Among Us, Outbound, Boyfriend Dungeon, and Dwarf Fortress right into Paralives for your Paras to enjoy. And it’s a completely free base game collaboration available to everyone who downloads the game.

Among Us has the most content in this event, with a crewmate suit your Paras can wear, a bunch of different plushies you can place, figurines, a poster, and an array of Stamps you can collect. Perhaps the coolest part, though, is that you can have your Paras click on any computer to play Among Us themselves.

The driving and exploration-focused game Outbound also has some fun content now in Paralives. In build mode, you can find and place a small, decorative model of the van you can drive around in while on the road. Thanks to Paralives’ scaling system, though, you can size it up to a full-sized vehicle, too. And if you have your Paras head to a computer, Outbound is also listed as a playable game you can have them enjoy.

The last part of this crossover event involves Kitfox Games, the makers behind both Boyfriend Dungeon and Dwarf Fortress. This one includes exclusive body pillows of iconic characters like Sundar and Valeria, as well as ones that feature various weapons. And, of course, both games can be enjoyed by your Paras at any computer alongside Among Us and Outbound.

When your Paras enjoy any of the four games featured in this collaboration, you get to enjoy watching actual gameplay from them pop up on the computers. This is a really cool immersive feature that’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a life sim before. The only time I’ve ever witnessed anything come close to this is some mods made by members of the community for other life sim games, but never crossover gameplay content directly in collaboration with other dev teams like this.

It’s also quite surprising, but exciting, to see such a big event drop just hours after Paralives first launched. We’ve got four indie games here to start, but this collaboration certainly opens up possibilities for more additions in the future.
