About Poolscape
This game invites players into an eerily captivating world that transforms a mundane swimming complex into a dreamlike labyrinth of nostalgia and unease. As a first-person exploration title, it delves into the realm of Poolrooms mythology, embracing the retro aesthetics of 90s console graphics rather than opting for modern realism. Players navigate a central hub and slide into nine distinct environments, each featuring unique soundscapes and atmospheres that oscillate between tranquil and unsettling.
Instead of focusing on survival, it emphasizes observation and exploration, with light platforming elements scattered throughout. The visuals employ chunky models and atmospheric effects, creating an otherworldly vibe that enhances the experience. An optional VHS filter intensifies the retro horror feel, while the varied soundtrack keeps your journey engaging. Ideal for fans of ambient walking simulators and retro horror indie games, this title promises a captivating dive into the surreal.
