TBH: Task Bar Hero might appear like an idle game where you don’t need to do much, but there’s plenty of depth underneath what’s happening on the taskbar of your PC. There are six different classes on offer, and each one offers something unique.
Each class has its strength and weakness, but let’s find out how they fare against the monsters.
TBH: Task Bar Hero class tier list
To separate the classes, I have used three different tiers.
- S-tier choices are ideal for all kinds of team formations.
- A-tier choices are decent, but you’ll need to be specific with your team formation.
- B-tier choices will be heavily reliant on their builds and other team members to be effective.
Since TBH: Task Bar Hero is free-play, you’ll need to spend extra to unlock certain classes.
S-tier
- Knight: This free class is arguably the best all-rounder in the game. It has good damage, decent defense, and helps you go deep on your run. There’s a lot of freedom when building a Knight, which makes him perfect for beginners. You can either turn him into a full-blown tank or go hybrid with a defense-attack-infused build.
- Hunter: The Hunter might need you to spend on DLC, but she is worth it. Her crossbow bolts can inflict elemental status on enemies, and they do a fair bit of AoE damage as well. With her, you’ll want to enhance the attack as much as possible and pair her with other classes that can buff her abilities.
A-tier
- Priest: The Priest is a free DLC class who plays the role of support. She has plenty of useful abilities, but she relies on her allies to clear the enemies. You can use her first skill to heal your team and also buff their attacks. Put some defense on her because it’s essential to make her survive the harder battles. A good combo with the Priest is to pair her up with the Knight and the Hunter.
- Sorcerer: The Sorcerer is the default mage class in TBH, and her abilities are all focused around doing AoE damage. She feels a tad underpowered compared to the Hunter, but she can still deal a decent amount of damage. Her build will be similar to the Hunter, but you’ll want to raise her ability powers as much as possible. Pair her up with tanks since she doesn’t have the best of health.
- Slayer: The Slayer isn’t a bad class, and his melee attacks can target single/multiple enemies. However, his exact role feels redundant since you can substitute him with the Knight. Additionally, he is locked behind a DLC, so you’ll need to spend some money to get him. His abilities are all about landing mighty attacks whose damage is amplified when you manage to kill monsters.
B-tier
- Ranger: The Ranger is a good choice if you want a ranged attacker but don’t want to buy the Hunter. However, that comes at a price since her abilities are slightly confusing to master. She can target solo enemies if required and also deal AoE damage. However, her AoE damage has limited range that reduces the potential of the attacks. She can still do well if you pair her with the right team and add the essential items to her build.
Ultimately, your squad combination also matters once you have managed to unlock more Hero Slots.
