Amazon Prime Day is back, only because it’s October and thus the sale has to have a slightly different name, it’s called Prime Big Deal Days 2026. The sale runs for two days, Oct. 6 and Oct. 7. There are a bunch of video gaming deals, but we’ve sorted through the listings to bring you some of the best deals on our favorite kit.
This list focuses on Xbox games, all physical editions; Prime Day deals are rare on digital games. It’s a neat crop though, including a major recent release and one of Polygon’s favorite games of 2026. We’ve also thrown in a few suggestions for accessories. Snap these up while they’re still going!
1
Pragmata
Capcom’s superb sci-fi action game remains one of our favorite titles of this year. It’s both totally original, with an innovative hacking mechanic, and a pleasant throwback to the days of shooting up robots in space stations on the way to your next checkpoint. Plus the space-hero-and-AI-girl setup is one of the sweeter dad game storylines of late.

Madden NFL 27
You don’t always find such new releases among the Prime Day deals; this year’s Madden only came out a couple of months ago, but it’s almost 40% off, reduced from $70 to $42.99. You can even play it like Umamusume if you really want to.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
If you’re in the mood for some old-school adventuring, you can’t do better than this wonderful remake of the classic 2001 turn-based role-playing game. The remake massively improves the original’s very slow opening act while preserving those immaculately cheerful and nostalgic Dragon Quest vibes.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Sonic came close to beating his old rival last year when Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds faced off against Mario Kart World and gave Nintendo’s game a very good run for its money. It’s a blindingly fast arcade racer with a ton of customization options and a pleasantly brash, old-school style.

5
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora — From the Ashes Edition
While we’re on the subject of unjustly ignored Ubisoft licensed games, you should give this beautiful adventure set in the world of James Cameron’s Avatar a whirl. Originally released in 2023, it was given a new lease of life by the 2025 From the Ashes expansion (included here) which fulfilled the game’s promise with a third-person mode.

8BitDo Ultimate C Wired Controller

Razer Kaira Pro headset
There’s a big $45 reduction on this wireless gaming headset, officially licensed by Xbox. It boasts titanium drivers, an ultra-clear supercardioid mic, and a second in-built mic — a very handy addition if you plan on using the headset as everyday headphones when on the go with your phone.

CRKD Gibson Les Paul guitar controller
This December, former Guitar Hero developers are bringing back the plastic-instrument rhythm-game genre with Stage Tour, a spiritual sequel to both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Get ready for the new game — or just go back to Rock Band 4 — in style with this beautiful, officially licensed guitar controller modeled after the legendary Les Paul. You can save $40 on it during Prime Day.

Life is Strange Reunion
After bringing back Max Caulfield in 2024’s Double Exposure, the Life is Strange series continues its revival by reuniting Max with Chloe Price in Reunion, released in March of this year.
