The Blood of Dawnwalker court system: All Infamy Edicts and effects

The Blood of Dawnwalker has a court system in place that makes in-game modification levels based on Coen and his activities. Every time you raise his infamy level, an Edict will become active.

With nine different Edicts, let’s check out the complete list.

All Infamy Edicts in The Blood of Dawnwalker

Every time Coen’s infamy increases, Brencis will issue an Edict. However, you can’t avoid this since you’ll have to complete quests to reach the rulers.

1 You’ll find more patrols in the areas Coen visits to complete the quests. Naturally, this raises the difficulty when it comes to finishing these tasks.
2 Military checkpoints will pop up all over the valley. While most of them won’t identify you (Coen), you should still be mindful of your activities around them.
3 Prices of all items in the valley will rise. In simple words, everything you by from merchants is going to cost more, creating hindrances on certain occasions.
4 This is when things will get more serious. Not only will you find more soldiers patrolling the streets, but commanders will also recognize Coen when they spot him.
5 You’ll find fewer people outdoor between the dusk and dawn. This also includes merchants, which will make quests harder to complete if you’re missing certain items.
6 You’ll now encounter even more checkpoints, and the commanders will identify you. The prices of items will be increased for the second time, making everything expensive.
7 You’ll need to deal with Headhunters. These are elite enemies that have special abilities. Moreover, every soldier can now recognize you and they will try to stop you immediately.
8 All soldiers not only recognize you, but they will be harder to take down. They will have increased stats and attack.
9 Svartrau’s gates will now remain shut, but this is a bigger problem only on paper. You’ll have different ways to enter the city by now, but movement will be hard with the harder soldiers, checkpoints, and elite enemies at place.

While the game progressively gets harder due to the court system, you’ll also improve vastly by the time you reach endgame.
