Practically everyone has heard of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by now. This game, made by Sandfall Interactive, quickly rose to prominence and proved to be a massive success. It quickly gained a 97 score on Metacritic (even prompting some haters to try to review bomb it) and is already hailed as one of the best games of 2025. Naturally, that resulted in a massive number of gamers wanting to see what that is all about, which led to such a shortage of physical copies of the game that it is even sold out on Amazon.
Amazon Can’t Keep Up With the Demand for Physical Copies of Clair Obscur Expedition 33
It came to our attention that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is already sold out on Amazon. We first noticed it on GenePark’s post on X, where it was revealed that the game is “Temporarily out of stock”.
We checked it ourselves, and even in our own corner of the world, Amazon says that they are fresh out of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
It was even noticed by the devs themselves.
Sandfall Comments on the Situation
The shortage of physical copies of Clair Obscur, for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, even prompted the developers to give a statement.
“We are aware that we have sold out of physical editions at various retailers. Our distribution partners are looking into re-stocking! Sorry, the demand has been higher than expected in many regions. Please stay in touch with your local stores for more info. Tomorrow comes!”
Naturally, the reason for this is the massive demand, and the players use the opportunity to congratulate the devs, with some even posting the famous “suffering from success” meme. In any case, hopefully, the retailers will get restocked pretty soon, so more people can join in on the fun.
