As part of CinemaCon this week in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures announced that its upcoming live-action The Legend of Zelda movie had passed a major milestone in its production process. The company also shared the latest update on its Helldivers movie.
The Zelda film now has wrapped filming, the movie studio announced, as reported by IGN. Next up will be post-production and any potential re-shoots. The movie was filming on location in New Zealand at some of the same places where Peter Jackson shot his Oscar-winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
While no footage of the Zelda movie has been released thus far, images of Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link have been released. It’s rumored that Severance actor Dichen Lachman appears in the movie as Impa. The plot synopsis for the movie has not been released, but we do know it’s being directed by Maze Runner’s Wes Ball.
