Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 might be what it is (a bit of a mess), but that doesn’t mean the series is dead in the water. In fact, a whole new game is on the way! It’s called Vampire: The Masquerade – Oaths and Ashes, and it is still technically an RPG, just one mixed up The Fly style with a visual novel.
In this entry, you’ll find yourself in contemporary Berlin with two protagonists at the helm. There’s Alice, a “Ventrue operative dispatched by the Camarilla to keep the city’s factions destabilized,” and then there’s Lenz, a “Thinblood outsider surviving on the margins of undead society.”
The actions that Alice takes to keep the city unstable are visually represented by a map of Berlin, showing you who controls what, and all the missions you can undertake. Her whole deal is about influencing various mortals and Kindred using supernatural abilities called disciplines, whereas Lenz uses alchemy to get by, apparently a special system that gives him abilities and new conversation options. The broader game is apparently based on the ruleset from the TTRPG version of Vampire: The Masquerade, specifically 5th Edition, so take of that what you will.
It’s coming from Polish studio Revive the Spark, who according to a press release are made up of industry veterans, including some who have worked on previous Vampire: The Masquerade titles. What are their names and what did they do? Can’t tell you, they didn’t say, so we’ll all just have to take their word for it I suppose.
As of right now there’s no specific release date attached to the game, but it is planned for release some time in 2026. You can wishlist it on Steam here.
