Deltarune‘s Chapter 5 came out during the last week of June, and it extended Kris and co.’s storyline with a fresh adventure in the Dark World. It’s almost certain that Chapter 6 will be there, based on the game’s official Steam page and the ending to Chapter 5.
Here’s everything we know about the next chapter for the game.
Expected Deltarune Chapter 6 release date
The game’s Steam store page is the biggest confirmation that there will be Chapter 6. It also gives a fair idea about when the next chapter will go live. The official store page says that Chapter 6 will drop in 2027.
However, a month isn’t mentioned. That said, a pattern is clear. Last year, we got Chapter 3 and 4 during the first half of June. This time, Chapter 5 dropped in the second half (June 24 to be precise).
If the same pattern applies, we should see Chapter 6 going live in June next year. However, the release could also happen during the first week of July. Hence, the June-July window seems like the most obvious one as things stand.

What to expect from Deltarune Chapter 6
Before I proceed, a fair warning: there are spoilers about Chapter 5. If you have yet to complete the new story, you can skip this part. If you’re stuck, our walkthrough will help you reach to the ending.
When the story ends, we find Susie and Kris back in the town. The festival is over, and the two walk to the school. As Susie returns, she adds that the adventures are now getting more and more dangerous. Hence, this can no longer be about her and Kris. They will need someone who can help them, with that someone being Noelle.
Hence, I am quite certain that Noelle will be part of the journey. What that means for Ralsei remains to be seen. It’s also possible that we will be switching to a squad of four from three.
Chapter 5 also witnesses a new danger when you try to close the Dark Fountain. We will surely get to learn more about it in the next chapter. The Dark World should also get more dangerous with different enemies and puzzles. I am excited to read all the speculations about Chapter 6 and then find out how the actual story unravels when it drops next year (hopefully).
