While the movie was announced in 2024, it has been confirmed that it was in the works for three and a half years. This means that ufotable was working on the fourth season and the first Infinity Castle movie side by side. One can only imagine the amount of stress it would have put on the staff as they tried to meet the deadlines.

If the next two movies also have the same production time, then by that rationale the second movie will release in 2028, and the third will premiere sometime in 2031. This means Demon Slayer will reach its conclusion in about six years, which is absurd. Given the amount of time, it’s only natural for some fans to lose interest in the series. So, the people involved with the projects will have to find a way to solve this problem.
