All Potions & Materials in Wizard Alchemy – Crafting Guide

I’ll be breaking down the full Potion/Spell crafting system in Wizard Alchemy step-by-step with all the details you need to know. Then, I’ll list all the craftable Potions/Spells, their Recipes/Magic Score requirements and all materials and their details. Here’s my complete Potions and Materials crafting guide in Wizard Alchemy.

Wizard Alchemy Potion Crafting Guide

The Potion brewing/crafting system in Wizard Alchemy isn’t as complex as the crafting system in The Forge. The short of it is – the higher the sum total Magic score value of the materials you put in, the higher the % chance for higher rarity Potions you’ll get, it’s all RNG in the end. That said, there is some nuance to it so here’s a breakdown of how Potion crafting works in Wizard Alchemy once you open the Alchemy/Brewing menu:

  • Every material has a Magic score (e.g., Blueberry 3) and every Potion in the game has a Magic value (e.g., Ice Spike Potion 10).
  • To craft a Potion, you need to reach its Magic value with a sum total of all material Magic scores (You have 5 slots to do so in the Alchemy menu).
  • Reaching a Potion’s Magic value gives you a % chance to craft it.
  • For example, to craft the Ice Spike Potion you need a minimum sum total Magic value of 10 or greater (e.g., This can be something like Blueberry 3 + Blueberry 3 + Withered Mushroom 4).
  • The chance to craft any Potion increases if you increase the sum total of all material Magic scores without reaching the Magic value required for the next Potion.
  • Likewise, if you overshoot a Potion’s required Magic value, you’ll have a lower chance to craft since you’re now qualifying for higher rarity Potions.
  • This means that to get the best % chance to craft a specific potion, your total Magic value should be between that potion’s required value and 1 value less than the required Magic value for the next potion in line (e.g., For the Ice Spike Potion it’s 10 to 39 (or ~20 to avoid wasting) since 40 is the value required for the next Potion (Iithe) and reaching it reduces your chances for Ice Spike).
  • The higher your total sum of all material Magic scores, the higher rarity Potion you can craft – It’s all RNG in the end.
  • The last part of crafting is the quick-time events and your accuracy here increases or decreases the potion’s Purity which is basically the potion’s stats like how much damage it does or other values depending on the spell.

Elemental Shards: There are also some materials like Elemental Shards (Ice, Fire, Earth, etc.) that don’t have Magic scores and instead just increase chances for certain elemental spells according to their respective element (Keeping in mind that you still have to qualify for the % chance for that elemental spell with a high enough total sum Magic value).

Elemental Shard Note: Only use one Elemental Shard to increase chances for that element since using more doesn’t do anything and just overall decreases the Magic value because Elemental Shards contribute 0 Magic score.

All Potion Recipes in Wizard Alchemy

Here are all Potion recipes in Wizard Alchemy, that is, all the required Magic values for all Potions. As we mentioned above, you get the best crafting chance for a specific potion by combining materials to reach its Magic value or above without reaching a sum for the next Potion’s Magic value.

Race & Spell Combos: Check out our Wizard Alchemy Race Tier List to find out both the best races in the game as well as which Races to combine with which Potions/Spells.

All Materials in Wizard Alchemy

Here are all the materials you can find for crafting Potions. I’ve included their Magic Score/Power and how to get them. Note that the Elemental Shards at the end like Ice, Fire, Earth, etc., don’t have Magic Scores (thus contributing 0) and instead just increase chances for spells of their respective element.

That’s it for my All Potions and Materials crafting guide for Wizard Alchemy. Check out our Wizard Alchemy codes for a bunch of free goodies like Race Rerolls and more.
