How to Level Up Life Skills in NTE
In NTE, you can level up the life skills of any owned Character by using an item called Dreamless Seed. To upgrade a Life Skill, open the “Character” menu from your phone, the “Esper Ability” tab, and select the Life Skills icon on the left.
Here, click on “Level Up” on the bottom right of the screen, and if you have the necessary Dreamless Seeds to complete the upgrade, the Life Skills will go up by one level. There are five levels to all Life Skills, and the cost is the same for every single character in the game.

In total, you’ll need 56 Dreamless Seeds to max out the Life Skills of one character.
Since the cost of leveling up Life Skills goes up exponentially, getting all your active characters to level 2 Life Skills is often better than only focusing on maxing out one.
How to Get Dreamless Seeds in NTE
Dreamless Seeds can be obtained in one of three ways in NTE:
- Exploration Guide Daily Activity
- Fair Exchange
- Hunter Exchange
Exploration Guide Daily Activity
If you gain 100 Participation points in the Daily Activity tab in the Exploration Guide, you’ll receive 4 Dreamless Seeds. This is a repeatable task that you can do every day at server reset, meaning you will get at least four Dreamless Seeds daily as long as you play regularly and claim the rewards from the Exploration Guide.
Fair Exchange
10 Dreamless Seeds can be bought from the Fair Exchange tab of the Mall in NTE for 15 Lost Pieces each. The Dreamless Seeds listed here restock every 30 days (1 month). Lost Pieces can be obtained by pulling on the Standard or Limited Boards (gacha system).
Hunter Exchange
100 Dreamless Seeds can be purchased from the Hunter Exchange tab of the Mall in NTE for 6,000 Fons each. The caveat is that the purchase listing for these Dreamless Seeds is locked behind City Tycoon upgrade level, with multiple levels. The full details are shown in the table below.

Best Life Skills to Upgrade First in NTE
There are four categories of Life Skills in NTE:
- Vehicle: Reduce damage taken by vehicles and their repair costs.
- Management: Increases dish prices, reduces ingredient consumption, and increases foot traffic in The Cafe by Origen.
- Bond: Increase the affinity and affection gained by party members (exclusive to Esper Zero).
- Others: Making City Delivery more profitable.
The best Life Skills to upgrade first are the ones that increase the effectiveness of sales from The Cafe by Origen, since this minigame will serve as your primary source of Fons in the early to mid-game of NTE.
