JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit is now available on your mobile devices worldwide, and we have a massive list of iconic characters to recruit for our teams. Characters have different roles and rarities, but not all of them are equally powerful.
Complete JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit character list
To separate the available characters, I have used four different tiers.
- S-tier characters are the strongest choices, and you can build your team around them.
- A-tier characters are great alternatives for S-tier choices.
- B-tier characters require a lot of resource investment to make them feasible.
- C-tier characters are decent as beginners but fall down the power curve quickly.
S-tier
| Character | Rarity | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Caesar Zeppeli | SSR | One of the strongest characters in the game who excels at both AoE and single-target damage. Bubble barrier is outstanding when it comes to controlling the movement of an enemy. At maximum skill, you can immobilize an enemy with bubble barrier. Ability to restore energy on his own is a big bonus. |
| Koichi Hirose | SSR | Arguably, he is the best tank in the current meta. Offers plenty of AOE damage options that make him great against swarms and mobs. Targets nearby enemies and has an easy playstyle. |
| Bruno Bucciarati | SSR | One of the strongest single-target damage dealers in the game. Has the ability to put debuffs on enemies and stun them when required. Has one of the strongest stealth duration buffs. |
| F.F. | SSR | Incredible nuke that can do a massive amount of damage in a single attack. Has the ability to self-heal as required. |
| Toni Trussardi | SSR | One of the best healers in the game. Can help heal teammates in a group. Excellent for support, since he can also restore energy for the team. |
| Avdol | SSR | The ability to inflict burn with all abilities does a lot of damage over time. Excels in both single and single-target and AOE damage. |
| Pesci | Rare | Excels at stuns and damage. Can restore his own energy The lack of AoE damage is the only major negative. However, Pesci is one of the easiest characters to build around since you’ll get him regularly from pulls. |
A-tier
| Character | Rarity | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Hoi Horse | SR | One of the best single-target damage in the game. The Emperor dishes out absurd damage. Restores energy upon crit hit, but lacks AoE damage. |
| Jotaro Kujo | SSR | High single-target damage that can be stacked. Good CC ability. Lacks AoE damage and range. |
| Jonathan Joestar | SSR | Great tank who can provide defense and heal their allies. Unfortunately, can’t do much on his own. |
| Ermes | SSR | Good support character. Has the abilities to shield teammates and reduce damage taken. Unfortunately, the lack of heals and debuffs makes Ermes an A-tier. |
| Giorno Giovanna | SSR | One of the best Ultimates in the game. Great support who provides heals and energy to the team. |
| Diavolo | SSR | One of the fastest characters in the game who also excels at single-target damage. Unfortunately, Diavolo is difficult to fit in any team. |
| Prosciutto | SSR | Great at AoE damage and team debuffs. However, he relies heavily on his team when it comes to doing damage. |
| Guido Mista | SR | Good sing-target damage who can be the main DPS. Lack of debuffs makes her one-dimensional. |
| Tarkus | SR | Strong single-target damage dealer who can also heal himself during a fight. Lacks AoE damage and poor range. |
| N’Doui | SR | A hybrid between support/DPS thanks to his enemy debuffs. Great counter against stealth enemy units. However, he seems to be difficult to fit in any team template. |
| Melone | SR | Can silence enemies and offers one of the highest damage if you can manage to raise the critical Rate. |
| Sports Max | SR | Can stack and raise the base damage, and a great choice against strong solo enemies. |
| Pet Shop | SR | Frostbite is one of the coolest ways to CC in the game. Good passives and AoE damage, but the lack of Burst damage is a major concern. |
| Akira Otoishi | SR | Amazing at long range and also reduces the enemy’s energy. |
B-tier
| Character | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Johngalli | SR | Good single-target damage, but lacks defense. |
| Mario Zucchero | SR | Most of the abilities have rigid setups that are difficult to pull off. |
| Gwess | R | Good single-target damage and tanking abilities, but her entire build depends on the Shrunken mechanic. |
| Starizo | R | I love the life-steal ability, but he is completely unusable against Hamon. |
| Viviano Westwood | SR | Impressive CC, but he targets enemies randomly, which can turn out to be an issue. |
| Sppewagon | SR | Good at raising team damage and restoring energy but lacks any healing abilities as a support. |
| Ciccolata | SSR | Despite having good AoE damage, Ciccolata is terrible when it comes to single-damage situations. |
| Keicho Nijimura | SR | The summon mechanic is cool, but there’s not much else to write about. |
| Sale | R | Good burst damage but terrible against stronger enemies/PvP. |
| Secco | SR | Good debuffs and effective against solo enemies, but lacks AoE damage (which is absurd as he can put AoE debuffs). |
| Joseph Joestar | SR | Good counter to stealth but very low base damage. |
| Formaggio | SR | Offers stealth and stuns, but the poor damage is major hindrance. |
| Will Zeppeli | SR | Decent heals and offers a chance to stun enemies. |
| Santana | SR | Comes with good heals and single-target damage. Lacks any usable AoE damage and is difficult to fit into any team. |
| Lisa Lisa | SR | Great in PvP but very poor in AoE. She’s not ideal if you need AoE damage. |
| Lang Rangler | SR | Provides some unique buffs to Ranged teammates and also offers stuns to enemies. However, the stuns don’t have AoE damage, and unusable if you don’t have other ranged characters on the team. |
C-tier
C-tier characters are not worth writing about, since they’re all very limited in their abilities.
- Narancia
- Kenzou
- Squalo
- Leaky Eye Luca
- Rubber Soul
- Leona Abbachhio
- Shigekiyo Yangu
- Ghiaccio
- Mariah
Don’t invest resources in these characters, since you’ll need to replace them as soon as you have a suitable alternative.
While having more SSR characters might seem lucrative, that’s not the complete story. To maximize a character, you’ll have to secure multiple copies. Doing that allows you to strengthen a character, and this is more prevalent for Rare and SR characters since they’re easier to pull.
Sometimes, using a lower-tier character that has been enhanced many times is a better fit for a team.
