With the excitement at an all-time high, fans couldn’t have asked for more. However, they have been given another piece of news that will add to their hype.

Solo Leveling Is Officially Getting An Artbook

Solo Leveling return 2027

Recently, Aladin posted a listing on their official website confirming that Solo Leveling is indeed getting an artbook. For the uninitiated, Aladin is among South Korea’s biggest and most reputed bookstore chains, so when the listing went live, everyone was shocked. Based on the listing, the book is called “The Art of Solo Leveling.” According to the website, Solo Leveling’s artbook will be released in the fourth week of August. It is worth mentioning that this data has been extracted by translating the webpage.

The upcoming artbook is a must-buy for any Solo Leveling fan, as it offers a retrospective of the series’ visuals. It includes character designs, weapons, dungeons, and much more. The artbook also includes exclusive illustrations done by Jang Sung-rak, better known as DUBU, who served as the illustrator for the original Solo Leveling manhwa. It is because of his hard work that Solo Leveling’s manhwa was so appealing to the audience. By including his previously unpublished work, the publisher has ensured that even people have the opportunity to appreciate his talent. Additionally, those who buy the first edition of the Art of Solo Leveling will receive a lenticular card of Sung Jinwoo. The news of the artbook has helped take fans’ minds off the hiatus of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. The sequel has been on a break since January 2026 because of the artist’s mandatory military service. Until he finishes it, the manhwa won’t return.

Initially, it seemed that the Korean and Japanese Hunters would easily crush the ants, but they had no idea what was waiting for them. Once Beru was born, he went after the S-rank Hunters and picked them off one by one. As a result, most of the Japanese Hunters were eliminated, leaving the Korean Hunters at the mercy of the behemoth. Upon being confronted by Beru, the Korean Hunters immediately realized that he was different from the rest. Shortly afterward, a battle ensued between the two sides, and it instantly became clear that the Hunters would be wiped out. Fortunately, Sung Jinwoo arrived in the nick of time and took matters into his own hands. He began beating Beru to a pulp, and the latter realized that beating Jinwoo wouldn’t be so easy. Despite Beru’s best attempts to overwhelm Jinwoo, the Ant King was on the ropes for the majority of the fight before ultimately being crushed by the Hunter. With Beru and the ants gone, the people of Korea could breathe a sigh of relief. Interestingly, after beating Beru, Jinwoo obtained a key, but since Solo Leveling season 2 concluded shortly afterward, fans couldn’t see how the hero intended to use it.

Thankfully, the secret of the key will be covered in Solo Leveling Beyond the System. The movie will start with the Ahjin Guild arc, which focuses on Sung Jinwoo as he tries to build a guild. He has been courted by almost all the top Korean guilds, but he has turned them down. Following the Jeju Island incident, Jinwoo has more freedom and fame to do whatever he wants, making it the perfect opportunity to form a guild. The first member of the Ahjin Guild will be Yoo Jinho, Jinwoo’s trusted friend. The next person to join will be Yoo Soohyun, who is Jinho’s cousin. Cha Hae-In also tries to join the Ahjin Guild but fails to do so. Once the Ahjin Guild arc ends, the focus will be immediately shifted towards the Double Dungeon arc, where all the action takes place.

In the Double Dungeon arc, Sung Jinwoo decided to use the key and enter the Cartenon Temple, the very place where his life changed forever. For most people, there’s always mental pressure whenever a person goes to a place where they have experienced some of the most traumatic things in their life, but for Jinwoo, it was an opportunity to uncover the truth about his powers, the System, and several other things.

Inside the Cartenon Temple, Sung Jinwoo met Kandiaru, the Architect of the System. Naturally, Jinwoo was curious, and he wanted to know more about the System. The Architect declined to divulge the information without putting Jinwoo through a test, which required the hero to crush all the statues in the room. Given Jinwoo’s power, it was an easy challenge. He crushed all of them effortlessly and moved on to Kandiaru’s next test. This time, the Architect set a 10-minute timer and told Jinwoo to beat him within the limit. Without wasting any time, Jinwoo began attacking the Architect, but almost nothing seemed to work. In fact, it was Kandiaru who held the upper hand.

I Am The Record Of Your Struggles, The Evidence Of Your Resistance, And The Reward Of Your Sufferings. I Am Death, I Am Eternal Rest, I Am Terror.” —Shadow Monarch

However, Jinwoo didn’t let the situation get to his head. Instead, he kept on trying until the enemy was defeated. Subsequently, Jinwoo was put in a suspended state by Kandiaru, who believed that it was the right time for the Shadow Monarch to make his grand return.

It was during this time that Jinwoo met the Shadow Monarch and learned more about the timeless battle between the Monarchs and the Rulers. Furthermore, he finally understood that the Shadow Monarch had chosen him as a vessel because of his unfaltering resolve. The Monarch also told Jinwoo that he no longer planned to be reborn and that he trusted the hero to change the world. As a result, he gave Jinwoo the remainder of his powers. This was a major turning point in Jinwoo’s life, which is why A-1 Pictures will be under a lot of pressure to deliver an adaptation that fans will remember for the years to come.
