Tier 3 will be the final big challenge you will encounter in How Many Dudes?, and you need to tick multiple checkboxes to succeed. Firstly, qualifying for Tier 3 itself is a huge challenge, and you’ll need to win runs at earlier difficulties. You’ll also have to gain Gold Stars to unlock the higher tiers.
Assuming you have done so, here’s how you can potentially complete Tier 3 and defeat the boss.
How to complete Tier 3 in How Many Dudes?
First, we have to get our build in check. At Tier 3, there are very few rooms for mistake at the difficulty. Here’s a build you can use in terms of the Relics and Dudes.
Dudes
- One tank: A tank with Taunt is necessary for the middle and late game, as you’ll have to protect your squishy Dudes. Having Taunt also forces the enemy to force their attacks on a specific unit, making it easier for your healers to keep the team alive.
- One Support: One unit that provides buffs to your allies and debuffs to your enemies. The Assassin Dude is a good choice for this role due to the debuffs he provides on the enemies.
- Two Healers: Having two healers is a must, especially with this build. Since we are adding a buff/debuffs role, we will need to keep the solo damage dealer and the solo tank alive for longer.
- One DPS: At Tier 3, you’ll encounter enemy who do more damage in longer battles. Having as many damage-dealing Dudes as possible is mandatory if you don’t want your run to end prematurely.
Relics
- Vault is one of the most important relics to add since it brings a 15% chance to get double payout after winning a battle.
- Loaded Dice allows you to get two Pocket Dice and makes them 50% cheaper. There’s a 50% chance for the Pocket Dice to not get consumed when you use it.
- Get healing relics as you advance in your run because you’ll need the additional heals to keep your team alive.
- Always buy Dice if you have extra resources to refresh the shop offering (and take relics that will fit better with your active roster).
Here are some key pointers to remember.
- Always fight the harder enemy if you have enough roster strength.
- Always invest your resources whenever you can.
- Always lend relics and give away both, unless it’s one I have mentioned above.
Here are the food items to pick.
- Healers: Items that boost damage, attack speed, and crit chances.
- Buff/Debuff: Evasion, attack speed.
- Tank: Toughness, deflect, HP.
- Damage: Crit chance, attack speed.

Before you encounter the final boss, get as many relics as you can. Having a large roster is also key for obvious reasons. At Tier 3, the boss is a practical nightmare. The final battle will have two phases. The first one is relatively manageable as long as you have followed the instructions that I have mentioned.
During the second phase, you’ll encounter a boss that can trigger a knock back wave and summon more enemies. Save your Meteor for whenever it deals damage. You should also keep few healing items at bay if required.
