Working together as a team, you’ve made it to the Olympus temple located in the Hercules Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Getting inside and finding your way around won’t be easy, though, which is why you have to tackle the Thunderstruck quest.
The gods seem to be quite upset, which is why you keep running into so many obstacles and problems. You’ve got the help of a mighty hero and his expert trainer to help you through it, but some parts can still be tricky, so here’s a complete walkthrough for the Thunderstruck quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to complete Thunderstruck in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Use the chain levers to realign the Zeus crest
This quest starts off with a complex puzzle, so things are a bit tough right from the start. To begin, you need to use the chain levers around the jumbled Zeus crest to get it back in order.
The puzzle you face here is similar to some featured around Storybook Vale, including one in the A Storm of Stories quest you have to tackle to reach The Unwritten Realms, so you’ll have a solid idea of what to do here if you’ve previously worked on other ones.
To properly align Zeus’ crest, you need to:
- Interact with the first lever (far left) three times.
- Interact with the second lever (middle) two times.
- Interact with the third lever (far right) one time.
After finishing the puzzle, head over to the middle of the crest to grab the item sitting in the center. Then, chat with Hercules nearby to see what he thinks of it. Together, you determine it’s a mold for Bracers.
Dig and mine for materials to forge the Bracers
Next up, you need to dig and mine to find all the required materials to make the Bracers. There’s quite a lot you need for this, and the scavenger hunt for supplies will take you all around the Realm. Here’s a breakdown of all required resources and where to find them.
- Six Hephaestus Coals can be found by using your Royal Shovel to dig up black and orange coal piles around the Realm. Each pile drops two coal, so you need to find three piles in total. Two are by the fire pit you used to make a Legendary Meal during the Speedrun Crash Course quest, and one is behind the crafting station near the crest you just aligned. There are some extra Hephaestus Coal spots around in addition to these ones, so you may find the six you need sooner if you run into them.
- 10 Orichalcum Ore can be found by mining large dark grey and orange rock spots around the Realm. Each rock spot drops two Orichalcum Ore, so you need to find a total of five. Two are by the crafting station near the crest, one is close to the edge of the cliff by the crest lever on the right, and the rest can be found in the dark woods. There are more rock spots than what you need for the quest, making it a bit easier to find what you’re looking for.
- 10 Greek Marble Fragments can be found by mining Greek column rock spots around the Realm. These are the most common of the three, and each one drops around three pieces for you to gather. Some spots you can check for them include the cliff where you met Hercules and the dark woods area up above it.

Forge the Golden Bracers
Once you’ve got everything you need, head back to the temple entrance to find and use the crafting station close to the crest. Click on the Hercules quest icon once you’ve got the crafting menu open to make the Golden Bracers. Then, interact with the Zeus Pedestal next to Hercules to place the Golden Bracers as an offering.
Return to the valley and ask the villagers for some good dad jokes
Just like the other two times you presented an offering, nothing happened, which means you need to put in a bit more work to get Zeus’ attention. You decide making him laugh will help get the lightning strike you need for the Golden Bracers, so use the sparkling Realm exit behind Phil to head back to the main valley.
Then, meet up with Scrooge McDuck, Goofy, and Merlin to get some good dad jokes from them. Once you’ve talked to all three villagers, head back to the Hercules Realm and chat with Hercules himself about what you learned.
Pick your favorite joke out of the three you learned to share, and Zeus will then strike the Golden Bracers with lightning. Pick up and equip the Golden Bracers to progress.
Break the rocks blocking the temple gate
Equip your Royal Pickaxe, which is electrified thanks to the Golden Bracers, and swing at the rocks blocking the temple gate. There are two rocks in your way, and each one takes two swings to break. Once that’s done, use your Royal Pickaxe to break the lock on the front gate.
Head into the temple after breaking the lock, then talk to Phil and Hercules once you’re inside. As soon as you do, the Thunderstruck mission will be complete. The A Real Godly Mess quest immediately takes over, which is another key step in the process for unlocking Hercules and Phil.
